Join Our Mailing List!

This mailing list and Yahoo! group will serve as the backbone of the Santa Clara VTA Riders Union. The mailing list will provide you with action alerts for everything from proposed service cuts to funding priority hearings to workshop meetings at VTA headquarters at 9:00am the following morning. Often, alerts will go out days or weeks before VTA bothers to publish them. You will also hear from fellow riders, bus drivers, mechanics, and other transit activists about life, statistics, and meetings that affect your VTA bus and light rail service - things that the Bay Area media may never tell you.

As our mailing list uses Yahoo! Groups, you will be expected to abide by its Terms of Service agreement. Please read it before you sign up...

Typically, our mailing list averages anywhere from four to twenty posts per day, depending on the transit topic of the day. We discuss everything from the latest schedule changes to features on new VTA buses to what happened at the last board meeting. After you fill in the box and click the Yahoo! button, you will get a message from us (via Yahoo!) confirming your subscription. The confirmation notice will have the majority of the instructions you need to post and manipulate how you use the mailing list. Similar instructions for posting to our list are repeated at the bottom of every message. For those who already get enough email in their inbox, we also offer a "digest" version of our list, where you get one email of everything that was posted to our list that day, about every 24 hours. After you subscribe to our mailing list via the box above, send a blank email message to vtaridersunion-digest@yahoogroups.com to obtain our daily "digest".
