Want To Get On Valley Transportation Authority As Well As Other Regional Transit Mailing Lists? Here's How!

Getting On VTA Mailing Lists

The Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority's Board of Directors meets the first Thursday of every month. See the schedule for more details.

The VTA Board of Directors Mailing List distributes agendas for Board Meetings and Workshops - usually one week before the meeting. You can get on this list by emailing your name and address to board.secretary@vta.org or by calling the VTA Board Secretary at (408)321-5680 and request to be added to the "Board of Directors" mailing list.

You can also get on VTA Community mailing lists. These lists inform you of the VTA's Community Working Groups, as well as meetings that affect mass transit in your neighborhood. You can access these lists by emailing your name and address to community.outreach@vta.org or by calling (408)321-5744, and making a request to be added to these mailing lists.

When contacting the VTA for joining these mailing lists, please give the operator your name and address. The same etiquette applies when you are sending email to the VTA addresses mentioned above.

Getting On Regional Transit Mailing Lists

The Metropolitan Transportation Commission (MTC), based in Oakland, is the Bay Area's regional transit planning and financing agency. Transit agencies such as the Santa Clara Valley Transportation Authority must submit finalized plans for mass transit and highway projects to the MTC to qualify for state and federal funding. To get on the MTC's mailing lists for regional transit, or to acquire more information on the mailing lists the MTC offers, send email with your name and address to info@mtc.ca.gov or call the Metropolitan Transportation Commission at (510)464-7700 to request being placed on their mailing lists
